The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) launched its global campaign “Thailand Healing Journey” at Selfridges Cinema, showcasing Thai tourism trends under the concept of “healing is the new luxury.” The event included a screening of the campaign film starring British singer-songwriter Henry Moody, along with cultural performances, the latest tourism sector updates, and wellness experiences reflecting Thailand’s approach to promoting purposeful tourism.
“The ‘Thailand Healing Journey’ campaign embodies the evolution of the Thai tourism sector, where travel is now associated with quality and balance,” said Ms. Thapani Kiatphaipol, Governor of the Tourism Authority of Thailand. “Based on the vision of ‘healing is the new luxury,’ this campaign highlights Thailand’s long-standing healing traditions, vibrant culture, and contemporary lifestyle experiences, allowing travelers to reconnect with themselves and our tourist destination.”
The event, held in London and led by Her Excellency Ms. Thapani and Mr. Nithi Seepra, Deputy Governor of the Tourism Authority of Thailand for Marketing and Communications, attracted a select group of media representatives, influencers, and guests from the UK and Europe. Prior to the start of the film program, guests had the opportunity to explore Thai creativity through cultural workshops and to sample a selection of the most delicious Thai dishes.

The program began with a screening of the promotional film for the campaign “Healing is the New Wellbeing,” followed by a review of the latest developments in the tourism sector that outlined Thailand’s move towards sustainable tourism. The highlight of the evening was the premiere of the video “Henry’s Hero,” which documented artist Henry Moody’s journey through the provinces of Trang and Krabi.
Modi appeared before the audience wearing an outfit specially designed for the occasion by the Thai luxury fashion house “Sirivanavari”, where he showcased to the audience aspects of Thailand’s charm through moments of reflection and cultural immersion. The film documents encounters with community traditions and local crafts, along with the tranquil landscapes of the islands of Koh Mok and Koh Kradan, presenting Thailand as a destination that allows travelers to reconnect with nature, culture and themselves.
The presentation was followed by a dialogue session between Henry Moody and leaders from the Tourism Authority of Thailand, in which he recalled his journey through southern Thailand, noting that the message “Healing is the new luxury” had touched his personal experience of travel and left a deep impression on him.
The event concluded with a healing session through sound meditation. Prior to the London premiere, the Tourism Authority of Thailand paved the way for the launch of the “Thailand Healing Journey” campaign by broadcasting promotional clips on AXN Asia starring Henry Moody. The campaign is set to continue its global journey through trips led by a select group of content creators across Thailand, where these creators will document their experiences and highlight major festivals, including Songkran Festival, Loy Krathong-Yi Ping, Vijit Chao Phraya, as well as the Phuket Vegetarian Festival and Tomorrowland 2026.
